Upgradable Equipment        

In a campaign of Seven Swords, adventurers start with a selection of equipment, and can replace or upgrade it as the game progresses. Both starting equipment and all tiered equipment is generally able to be upgraded in various ways. The equipment chosen by each character often sets the playstyle that character will use but often can be swapped mid-game for a tactical advantage.   


A Closer Look: What I wanted out of equipment

When I was designing equipment for Seven Swords, I made a decision that all equipment in the game would be good,  at least in a particular circumstance. Situationally everything has the right time to use it. Sometimes its a trade of versitilty for raw power, it allows you to cycle your deck faster, or it simply works better with the action cards in an adventurer's deck. But I wanted players to look at new equipment and decide if it was something they could work with.
